Touchstone Glazing / Working with you

For Homeowners

At Touchstone, we believe in being upfront and transparent throughout the whole process. Our bespoke glazing solution allows us to put together an estimate based on approximate sizes and elevation photographs.

Site Visits

As a company, we understand how important it is to get the windows right on a building as they can make or break the overall look of a building. We realise how difficult this decision can be. Therefore, we are more than happy to attend site visits, where we can bring samples and offer glazing solutions.

We also understand that when working on a listed building it can be necessary to meet up with conservation officers or representatives from Historic England. We are more than happy to offer this as part of our service. Providing drawings and advice to help with your listed building application.

Workshop & Showroom Visits

At Touchstone, we believe a visit to the workshop is key to understanding everything we do.

From manufacturing the double glazed units to designing new handles and stays, there is a lot to see! It gives you the opportunity to see the quality of the products and craftsmanship first-hand. You can see how the products are made, the materials being used and the level of care that goes into the manufacturing process.

It also gives you the chance to ask questions, view different options and finishes in person and gain confidence in both the product and our company. Seeing our workshop first hand can often tell you far more than a photograph or brochure.

Feel free to call in anytime, just let us know when you’re thinking of coming and we will make sure there is someone is here to show you around the workshop and answer any questions.

How We Work

In the first instance, we understand that knowing an idea of cost can help with decision making therefore we offer an estimate via email. In order to do this we would require the following information:

  • Elevation photographs showing all the windows

  • Architects plans or approximate measurements

  • Number of fixed windows

  • Number of opening casements

  • A postcode/ address for the project

  • Type of glazing required e.g Leaded, Albion Crowne® glass etc

If this estimate is acceptable we can then arrange any Site/Workshop visits, samples, drawings etc.

Once an order has been placed, we draw up a Detailed Order Contract before we commit your windows to manufacture. This ensures that you have a clear understanding on a window by windows basis of what we are going produce.

Our Overall Process

Top quality customer care is always our aim at Touchstone and we understand the need to keep our customers informed every step of the way through the production process. Therefore, from the moment you contact us we will give you as much support and information as you require.

Attending site visits with Architects, Conservation Officers or Historic England and providing technical drawings and samples. We try to make our process simple and easy.
