Touchstone Glazing / Our Projects

Our Projects

At Touchstone, we are proud to have assisted so many exciting and innovative projects throughout the United Kingdom. From church conversions to national heritage sites it is always great to play a small role in delivering a fantastic project.

A lot of our previous work has included listed buildings. Our windows now feature in Grade I, II and II* listed properties. We have extensive knowledge when it comes to double glazing heritage buildings and period properties. Please see some of our previous glazing work below.

“The design of the windows is only part of the story - the craftsmanship of the installation team also plays its part. ”

— David & Jane King

Featured Project

Halifax Piece Hall

Close-up of a stone church facade with a large circular stained glass window and a clock tower, against a partly cloudy sky.

Touchstone Glazing was proud to contribute to the restoration of the Grade I listed Halifax Piece Hall, one of the most significant Georgian buildings in the UK. Working with LDN Architects, we were tasked with improving the thermal performance of the historic mullion and tracery windows, including a striking 5-metre rose window made up of 81 individual shapes.

Using our patented Insulead® system, each opening was individually templated to create bespoke double-glazed units that preserved the original appearance while significantly improving efficiency. The project was approved by Historic England and helped the restored Piece Hall become a thriving cultural centre once again.

Grade II Listed Featured Project

Bradford Manningham Library

A historic stone building labeled 'Branch Library' with arched windows, decorative stone carvings, and a gated entrance, located on Carlisle Road.

Grade II listed Manningham Library in Bradford, the library was opened in 1910 on the site of the oldest Sunday school in Bradford. The original building was built in 1832 and offered to Bradford Corporation 50 years later, on the understanding that it would be used as a library. Touchstone Glazing had the privilege to support the renovations in 2007.
