Steelyte® Opening Casements

Our Steelyte® opening casements are designed and manufactured in our yorkshire workshop.

They offer the narrowest of sight-lines and due to the fact they are made from high-grade stainless steel which is all but immune to corrosion they are ideal for coastal properties. Fitting directly into stone mullions, our double glazed steel opening windows are ideal for listed buildings and heritage sites.

Innovation Built On Tradition

Our Steelyte® opening casements come with 24mm units as standard and are manufactured using grade 304 “18/8” stainless steel, which generally exceeds British Standard 6510 and is all but immune to corrosion. It is particularly good for use in coastal properties and those that are situated in exposed areas. Incorporating three thermal breaks and two weather seals it has achieved an “A++” rating for thermal efficiency. Our frames are polyester powder coat paint finish to EN ISO BS:6497, or BS EN 13438, or can be supplied polished for modern building applications. We offer a varied choice and range including top and side hung opening casements. Shapes can also be accommodated.

Our windows are normally supplied to open outwards, but due to our own in house design department bespoke options can be offered. All our double glazed opening casements incorporate a unique PVC edging to protect historic stonework. We offer a stainless steel fixed frame window with the narrowest if sightlines. Our opening casements can be double or triple glazed using high performance 24mm insulating glass units. This specification combines the latest glazing technology with warm edge spacer bar and Argon gas filling; this achieves a superior performance that most double glazed units. All of our windows are toughened and factory glazed. However, the design nature of our Steelyte opening casements mean that our glazing units can be removed for repair on site using hand tools.
